I am not the best person to keep a phone intact but when I saw this I thought I want IT!!!
I do not understand how we are still making electronics that are sooo obsolete in the advance period we are in.
We should be focused on durability, sustainability, purposeful innovation not consumerism especially for products that are difficult to include in the cradle to cradle system of recycling.
That is exactly what Netherlands-based designer Dave Hakkens has done and this is why Phone Bloks would be an amazing solution!
For aesthetics, imagine using different colours and textures for each blocks!
This idea is pushing the consumer to think more closely about the product he wants as he is participating in it's making.
I believe this phone can educate the general public about technology in a faster and better way.
I also believe this will give more power to the consumer as he will no longer have to get new products every so often.
