Having just moved to Paris I decided to do as much as possible to discover the city and its architecture and design world.
To my luck it was Paris Design Week between the 6-13 September 2014.

So I walked the streets from "arrondissement" to "arrondissement" to find the galeries and event that were advertised.
Here are a few of my discoveries.

Here is part of La Maison Champs Elysée designed by Maison Martin Margiela

This is a very good example of when Interior design meets Fashion!

This luxurious hotel has at the back a corridor which apparently leads to the Press room.

I fell in love with this space. The light, the reflection, the glow, the metallic aspect...
Look at how the materials have been used to create this extravagant yet simple atmosphere.

Also check out the size of that diamond! heheh
Only the outlines of a diamond is recreated but the use of LED light strips really intensify by structure.

I did not get to see that much of the hotel, but if you want to check out more here is a link to some photos.

Also went to several Galerie JOSEPH

They had a lot of furniture design and product design on show.
Here are a few of my favourites pieces that I have renamed :)

Floating spherical desk

ZigZag lumière from Myriaz design.

Chunky furry sofa designed by Sentient and made from Icelandic sheepskin and reclaimed American oak
Clearly very comfortable according to my lovely friend :)

Enlightening Mirror

Spider chair

I did a bit more wondering around so I will share one more event in an other post.
